Designed by internationally renowned author Brian Caswell, our writing programme breaks down the barriers often associated with writing. With a unique set of stimuli and tools at his/her disposal, your child will be empowered to enhance his/her writing abilities and enjoy the writing process from the start.
The framework and strategies used in our writing programme are set to complement the primary school English curriculum, so your child will be able to apply what he/she learns in his/her schoolwork.
Lessons conducted at our centres
Classes for each level run over 10 weeks, with each lesson lasting 2 hours.
Lessons conducted online via Microsoft Teams
In addition to 2-hour lessons with the class every week, there will be private 1-to-1 sessions with a trainer to reinforce learning.
One of our writing programme’s key highlights is the MindChamps Writing Toolbox, which helps to develop your child’s passion and confidence in writing by working on the following areas:
Sharpening his/her grammar structures
Learning how to proofread and edit his/her own work
Trying out various genres of writing
Understanding different writing styles
“The techniques learnt in MindChamps Writing have come in handy as Cayla uses them for creative writing in school. We have seen improvements in her written composition. She continues to apply the techniques even after graduating from the programme – both in English and Chinese writing.” Read More
– Kee Wee Fong, mother of Cayla Chia Yen
“The distinct aspect of the MindChamps Writing programme is that it focuses on cultivating a child’s ability to write by inspiring him/her to express his/her thoughts in words, rather than by telling him/her what to write, which stifles the imagination in the process.” Read More
