MindChamps Chinese PreSchool

MindChamps Chinese PreSchool nurtures a love for learning Chinese in children from 18 months to 6 years old in the playgroup, nursery and kindergarten levels.

We infuse the Chinese language into the unique MindChamps PreSchool curriculum which is backed by over two decades of research in the 4 domains of Education, Psychology, Neuroscience and Theatre to give your child a holistic learning experience in a vibrant Chinese speaking and learning environment.

Most of the core and enrichment modules at MindChamps Chinese PreSchool are designed to be effectively bilingual for all levels to help your child meet the requirements for primary school, in both local and international schools. We also offer the Chinese Cultural Appreciation special module exclusively to children attending our Chinese PreSchools, where your child will get to learn and experience China’s rich heritage and culture through hands-on activities.

The immersive learning environment at MindChamps Chinese PreSchool will greatly benefit local families who are looking to provide their children with a foundation in Mandarin, as well as expat families who are keen to introduce their children to the Chinese language and culture.

Cutting-Edge Pedagogy
Our research-backed curriculum is uniquely synthesised from the 4 domains of:
⦁ Education
⦁ Psychology
⦁ Neuroscience
⦁ Theatre
A Holistic and Immersive Learning Experience
We nurture every aspect of your child through our core and enrichment modules, which are unique to MindChamps. The Chinese language is integrated in most of the lessons and modules for all levels, which gives your child ample opportunities to communicate and express himself/herself in Mandarin.
A Research-Backed Way of Nurturing Champions
We are the only preschool to nurture the Champion Mindset in children, based on the works of Professor Emeritus Allan Snyder, a renowned neuroscientist who founded the term.
Breakthrough Reading and Writing Programme
Using proven techniques from acclaimed author, Brian Caswell, we spark a deep love for reading and develop creative writing skills right from the early years.
Appreciation of Chinese Culture
Children from all levels at MindChamps Chinese PreSchool will get to learn and experience the rich Chinese history and culture through the Chinese Cultural Appreciation programme. This is done through hands-on activities such as clay modelling, Chinese painting and calligraphy.
The MindChamps Way Teachers’ Training
We are the only preschool where teachers, regardless of their previous qualification or experience, undergo up to 200 hours of compulsory training and accreditation. This prepares every teacher to discover and nurture the Champion in every child.
Champion Mindset Values and Character Building
In line with our values and philosophy, we nurture children to be:
⦁ Confident
⦁ Uniquely themselves
⦁ The best that they can be
Crafted Play
We believe in the value of crafted play, which goes beyond the realms of normal free play. Our teachers lead children in activities that result in a specified learning outcome while still retaining the ‘play’ elements that promote sensory learning.
Primary School Readiness
Armed with the Champion Mindset and a strong foundation in Chinese, MindChamps PreSchool graduates are fully equipped to handle the primary school curriculum in both local and international schools with ease.

“Thanks to the strong Mandarin immersion environment, Alexander has been spouting more Mandarin at home and happily sings the songs (English and Mandarin) that were taught in school. He would also ask us to read the weekly Chinese and English books. I think the school is integral in cultivating this love for both languages, something that is extremely invaluable in any child’s early learning journey.”   Read More

“When Alexander first joined MindChamps Chinese Preschool @ Tampines Central, the mornings were expected to be difficult, but all the teachers were able to reassure him when handling his initial reluctance.

“Now, he is happy to go to school and would tell us that he had a great day in school!

“Since he started attending MindChamps Chinese PreSchool @ Thomson, Isaac learnt many words in both Mandarin and English. He can converse with a basic level of understanding and enjoys songs and stories in both languages. This will enable him to tap into the advantages of being proficient in one of the most widely spoken languages in the world today.”   Read More

“Prior to enrolling in MindChamps, I observed Isaac starting to reject Chinese – he was about 2 years old then. When spoken to, he would switch to English or oppose, which was funny but also worrying.

“We were concerned initially whether Isaac would feel overwhelmed being thrown into a new environment with a new language. However, young children adapt quickly and before we knew it, he was acquiring new vocabulary and is responsive when I communicate with him in Mandarin.

“Since he started attending MindChamps Chinese PreSchool @ Thomson, Isaac learnt many words in both Mandarin and English. He can converse with a basic level of understanding and enjoys songs and stories in both languages.

“Kids learn faster than adults and being 50% Chinese, I believe it is essential that Isaac be exposed to the Chinese culture and language early on. This will enable him to tap into the advantages of being proficient in one of the most widely spoken languages in the world today.”
